Putting People First
Lissette Rivera is a proud, longtime Downey resident, small-business owner, former Citywide Public Works Committee Member, and proven community leader dedicated to serving others and putting people first.
As the wife of a U.S. Navy veteran and the mother of four, Lissette understands the values and priorities of Downey families.
As Co-Founder and President of WOLF (War On Lethal Fentanyl), she has led life-saving fentanyl awareness, prevention, and education initiatives in partnership with the Downey Unified School District, reaching thousands of students, their families, and school employees.
Rivera’s campaign is built around a five-point plan focused on the issues that matter most to Downey residents:

Keep Our Neighborhoods Safe
By supporting police, firefighters, crime prevention, and traffic safety.

Repair Streets, Sidewalks & Infrastructure
By improving roads, parks, lighting, and neighborhood maintenance.

Support Small Businesses & Local Jobs
By reducing red tape, fostering entrepreneurship, and investing in robotics, STEM education, and coding to prepare Downey’s future workforce.
Protect Seniors, Families & Veterans
By expanding access to community programs and services while supporting youth, working families, seniors, and those who have served our country.

Bring Transparency & Accountability to City Hall
Through open government, fiscal responsibility, and greater community engagement.
